This week, Wednesday 22 April, was Earth Day, recognized in countries around the world. It promotes conservation of the natural environment and encourages reduction of pollution, sustainable consumption and recycling and the preservation of forests and green areas, lakes and seas.

On Friday, the senior assembly, for Year 3 – Year 11 (students aged 8 – 16+) watched a video on conservation. Then students and teachers went out on the playing field and the nineteen classes formed the nineteen letters of the sentence “I respect Planet Earth”.

The junior assembly for Nursery – Year 2  (students aged 3 – 8) was held in the seminar room as usual. There we sang a song “This is our world” and Class 2B showed the story of the Hungry Caterpillar, before the Principal presented Star of the Week certificates.
