Monday 28th – Wednesday 30th have been set aside this year for post exam activities so that specific teacher time can be devoted to the marking of exam papers while also providing students with a short break after the exam period. The evidence from such experts as Tony Buzan shows that breaks, too, are an important part of learning, enabling the brain to process and store what it has recently assimilated.
These three days have also enabled our re-sitters to take their exams if they were not available to take the scheduled papers, and have provided an opportunity for participation in over 25
House competitions. As well as the usual indoor and outdoor games, some students have helped to raise international awareness with murals and powerpoint slideshows of world cultures.
